" Jez, how did we ever survive when all we had was those damn awful mirror things (such as found in eevry optometrist establishment on the planet ....) |

" Poor kids. Imagine having the kind of parents who cataloge every gift and possesion you own with photos of you holding up the present in one hand, and a copy of that day's nwespaper in the other to date the photo. They then compile all into a MySQL DB and slap a web interface on it so that even when the kids grow up and leave home they can still log in from anywhere in the world to solve that argument about who really owned the Frodo action figure and which Christams they got it. |

I take my glasses off, try on a new pair, and can't see a thing. Looking at yourself a cm away from a mirror doesn't give you a very good impression either. I found a helpful family member is best. I would definately rather have a mirror than a camera though. I would feel daft with a camera. |

I would feel daft with a camera. I'd rather have the mirror and be squinting at it from 6cm away trying to focus than see what I look like when someone uses a digicam with pop-up flash on me inside a shop. I'd take one look at the shot and notice how bad my skin looked, how many chins I had and how much further my hariline had receded. I wouldn't notice the glasses at all. |

| 425546 | 2006-01-31 03:13:00 | I take my glasses off, try on a new pair, and can't see a thing . Looking at yourself a cm away from a mirror doesn't give you a very good impression either . I found a helpful family member is best . I thought I was the only one . . . Does anybody else reckon that they don't look the same in the mirror as they do in photos? I once had a big "discussion" on this with a friend who explained the reason for it but I still don't know which is lying, the camera or the mirror . I reckon that if I look as bad as I do in my photos I should be shot . . . . |

I demonstrated this to my eldest once by taking a picture of him front on, then cloning and mirroring one half of his face to form the other half. Didn't look like him at all (well it did, but it din't look right ....) | Biggles (121) | ||
