What is the dilution rate they use? Isn't it something like (1/100) ^ 20 or something similarly astronomical? Methinks the effect is purely in the head, but thats just my opinion.....:D
A

P.S. The current polling of : '49% yes' vs '51% no'; is very similar to the outcome we had when we voted on this a few years ago.

Even to the extent that when the dilution is so great, that there is a high probability that there is not even one molecule of the original additive. The water remembers what was put in it

Arrrrgghhhh...........That's the last time I am going to pee in the sea, and what about the water we drink?

Does it remember the untold billions of people (and animals, birds, fish and other creatures) who have washed, peed, pooed, puked and done all manner of other mean and nasty things that don't even bear thinking about throughout the eons of the earth's existence? :yuck:

426527 2006-02-07 08:24:00 Er, water will kill you as well if you take too much as well.
Something called dilution makes substances that are toxic in concentrated form, not toxic....

No-one argues with that. But how dilute do you have to make the substance so that it isn't toxic - with respect to fluoride, there aren't any studies demonstrating safety at any level.
The other thing to consider is different people are susceptible to different amounts. Children may be particularly vulnerable to dental fluorosis because of their metabolism and small size - effectively meaning they would be getting a higher dosage relative to an adult.
Fluoride is not a nutrient - it's a toxin. The effects of which occur cumulatively over a lifetime. When you can't control a dosage via a water supply, why risk adding anything that is known to be toxic (fluoride by the way is certainly toxic, "more poisonous than lead and just slightly less poisonous than arsenic". 426528 2006-02-15 06:59:00 Those interested in a NZ radio debate on fluoridation
might like to listen to this debate (on NewstalkZB) last Sunday morning
(Feb. 12).

All the ads, news etc have been edited out. File is compressed to
about 3 megabytes (not great quality but fine for listening
to on a pc).

Fox news ran a story Tuesday night their time called "Is A

Are you a man with a cause, barmypom?

:)

I just find it an interesting debate - strikes a chord with a lot of people both for and against.
Managed to find some good stuff online so I thought I'd share the goods.
