425793 2006-02-01 20:56:00 Hmmm.....If your out in front you should be taking the win, No idea what would be happening if your given last place for winning  unless you have been given a penalty and ignored it. Personally I drive with all rules turned off apart from teh black flag.

Anyhow, Have you tried the career mode?

425794 2006-02-01 21:37:00 I can't say I have seen any career mode. I have testing/weekend/something else options.

From what I understand, you get one lap to drive around slowly to warm up your tires, which doesnt count, and then when you pass the start line again, your timer starts? So your place is based on time, not car position?

And how do I finish a race? I can just keep driving I think (weekend race). Have tried pulling up at the pits, but it just repairs me, and I can race another x laps. I also get obscure amounts of money, like $75 for losing. I guess it is based on lap times or something?

Man this game makes me feel like a noob. Doesn't seem to be much info for a complete beginner. Otherwise it is brilliant.

425795 2006-02-01 22:28:00 There is a manual of sorts located in your install directory. Metla (12)
425796 2006-02-02 01:14:00 I prefer arcade style racing over realistic racing. GT is still a great game, even though it is old as the hills now. Greven (91)
425797 2006-02-02 07:28:00 .

I resurrected my old 233MHz MMX w/ 128MB EDO, chucked in a new optical drive and started loading on the masses of old games (including a tower of floppies) I have hoarded over the years for DOS and Win9x. The process has been frustrating, enlightening and now just plain fun :) A mate of mine also got into the spirit of things and we have had a couple of IPX LAN games :) Duke Nukem 3D is priceless for death matches

What was the name of the game that was basically Duke Nukem 3d, but with ninjas etc? We used to play massive multiplayer games of that...so so fun.

Sticky bomb like you!

425800 2006-02-10 07:16:00 Now if we could get it working over the internet. Lets have a round of deathmatch! bob_doe_nz (92)
425801 2006-02-10 10:37:00 Funny you mention that - I was actually looking into doing that using a VPN solution - Hamachi looks good but no Windows 9x version . . . :annoyed:

There is also a peice of software called "GIT" (Gamers Internet Tunnel) which looks promising although I haven't been able to test it yet cos the MMX isn't hooked up to the net atm . . .
