686962 2008-07-17 01:04:00 K... Well... Then My 1 year old Motherboard is not compatible with windows Vista... Vista has Windows update drivers... But Abit HAS NONE... So what do I do from here?

As far as I knew, Vista with sp1 changed things back to the Windows server 2003 platform.. But I'm not sure..

686963 2008-07-17 01:10:00 You could try the 2003 files. They may or may not work

But if it keeps crashng, you may have to find XP or another operating system to use

686964 2008-07-17 01:14:00 I have XP, its just.. I wanted to do Vista.. I'm going to try to brush up on my OS's because I want to take my A+ test at the end of the year. I have XP 32-bit and 64-bit.. But I was having BSoD with my 64-bit... SO back to 32-bit Non 4gigs of ram it is! Unless they have a fix for that? I think you mentioned before.. (I've only been using 2gigs recently anyways) Blackflag486 (13947)
686965 2008-07-17 01:20:00 No there is no fix for 32 bit versions of windows, thats its limit.

You'll get 3.25 - 3.75 GB of ram.

686966 2008-07-17 01:21:00 Yah, I think I was getting about that before.. Would it be better just to run 3 sticks? Or does it not matter to run all 4 sticks? Blackflag486 (13947)
686967 2008-07-17 01:34:00 It shouldn't matter if you use 3 or 4 sticks

You just wont get 4 GB

686968 2008-07-17 01:37:00 Question about your Comodo Firewall. Whats the difference between it being a firewall instead of Anti-Virus? Blackflag486 (13947)
686969 2008-07-17 01:43:00 A firewall and anti-virus program, are 2 different things.

Comodo is a firewall which doesnt include an AV program. You'll have to install something like NOD32 / Avast. If you want an AV program

Its not my program. Its not installed at the mo

686970 2008-07-17 01:57:00 Yah, I'm using Avira on my Vista comp.. I have AVG on another with a full licenced install, (but not vista install) So the firewall blocks things from running and the Anti Virus stops the programs that got threw? Blackflag486 (13947)
686971 2008-07-17 02:07:00 No a firewall will ask you if you want to allow access to the net for whatever.

An AV program lets you scan for trojans etc

And also scans email / whatever, depending on what it can do
