686952 2008-07-16 09:35:00 Its telling you audiodg.exe

You should have disabled the onboard sound AFTER you installed the Audigy

And you should have said before now that you installed another soundcard

And that you didnt disable the onboard soundcard

686953 2008-07-16 11:06:00 Remember what we said, memory all hardware drivers, so perhaps the sudio drivers arent the best.... SolMiester (139)
686954 2008-07-16 18:23:00 I didn't install another sound card. I Have it but haven't put it in the box. I have tried to update hardware drivers for this box.. Only problem is everything is Vista Built in.. I try to go to the websites to get drivers for vista x64 and they don't even exist just for Vista.. Like they should automatically work.. Windows update has a few driver updates for my system, but every time they try to install they fail. Everything besides my hardware driver updates passes.

I'll try disabling a lot of onboard crap 1 at a time and see if I can narrow it down to possibly onboard audio and or whatever. (when I get home tonight)

686955 2008-07-16 22:32:00 DON'T install drivers from the Windowsupdate site.

You'll definitely have probs, and you'll crash more often than you are now

686956 2008-07-17 00:26:00 K, when I get home tonight, I will install the Audigy and get the driver from their website. So, Leave the Onboard enabled and then install the drivers for the Audigy.. Once its on restart, go in BIOS and disable the Onboard? Is this the plan? (Also I will try to get updates for hardware like motherboard and things for Vista*not from microsoft*) Blackflag486 (13947)
686957 2008-07-17 00:32:00 No if you want to install the Audigy, disable the onboard sound, before you install it (the Audigy) Speedy Gonzales (78)
686958 2008-07-17 00:44:00 Oh... Good news.. Creative doesn't have Vista drivers for the Audigy 1-2z so thats good.... Creative lost lots of customers not upgrading their drivers for older (High Quality) cards. I'll just have to use no sound and see if it still crashes after the onboard audio is disabled. Then to disable every last thing to just get the dang thing running to run a 3Dmark and see if it works. (CD ROM to be takin out too) I'll try finding motherboard drivers not from microsoft. It may be tough..

Windows 2003 I'm assuming is the Vista Platform.. I will try these.

686960 2008-07-17 00:55:00 Thats probably why its crashing.

If you've installed anything from the windowsupdate site

Everything including the sound/mobo drivers etc should be installed from the Abit site, not from anywhere else
