425561 2006-01-31 09:14:00 Hey Cicero - suggestion that you could use.
Take some photo's of OE settings so you can remember what they should be and how to check what you have changed a few days earlier.

425562 2006-01-31 09:19:00 Had a job yesterday where the inspector (electrical) suggested I take a photo of my work so the next guy who stuffs up (if he does) can't claim it was my fault! Neil McC (178)
425563 2006-01-31 09:58:00 I use it to remember the location of the keys on the keyboards I'm cleaning as well as making a record of what goes where for the case plug pins. I'm too lazy to get the manual to take a look. bob_doe_nz (92)

425565 2006-01-31 21:36:00 The point that was made is that if you have documents to support a claim and serials etc it makes life easier.

Sometimes the Police raid somewhere and recover stolen goods.

If you have reported the theft and with photos and serials there is a chance you will get the items back.
Oh, absolutely. It is definitely a good idea to photograph and record your possessions and household items not only to aid their return should the police recover them but also to provide proof to your insurance company that you had the goods in the first place if they aren't recovered.

Prior to having a digital camera it was a bit of a hassle reporting to the police and making insurance claims on items we had stolen that we had no documents or photographic records of. With a digital camera one can take and store on a CD loads of pics which makes everything so much more clear cut.

425566 2006-01-31 23:32:00 You know the goods in pic are yours, but how do I know they don't belong to a pal, say?
You would require reciepts and #'s.
