425481 2006-02-01 01:50:00 ... Why not go to a bank and remove money from your credit card then go to Westpac and pay the money over the counter ...

That would indeed be foolish. Usurious interest applies immediately on money taken out on a credit card. Eric's doing the "interest-free short tem loan from the bank" trick to pay off debt.

425482 2006-02-02 17:10:00 Am i correct that there are not more interest charged when borrowing student loan?

Does this mean the loan which contained the interest which i borrowed for the past 2 years be written off?

Hmm...I hope that sentance make sense. Its just saying that the loan which i have borrowed for the past 2 years contained interest too.Would the interest be wiped?

425483 2006-02-02 19:51:00 Yah, interest rate for Student loans is only like 7.4%, check out the IRD site for the exact figure. Labour are introducing Interest free loans as of April.

You can get apply for an interest write off - there are certain conditions though, i.e. if you have been studying during that period.

Check out the IRD Student loan website for details:
