425095 2006-01-30 06:05:00 I would suggest a gamepad rather then a joystick for this game, or even an adaptor for a Playstation pad. Metla (12)
425096 2006-01-30 06:06:00 I may jump online about 10 tonight and create a server. Metla (12)
425097 2006-01-30 06:21:00 Hard to imagine using a gamepad... don't even know what they are :( But also I imagine a joystick may be more versatile?

[edit] hmmm - just had a look at them on dse. Cheaper than a joystick = good.

Not sure about the two-handed use though. I don't really enjoy drinking my beer out of a straw. :horrified

425099 2006-01-30 08:43:00 well, That was a ball of fun, No idea who the other drivers were but the game filled up with Kiwi's within minutes. Metla (12)
425100 2006-01-30 09:29:00 that other driver was me...which is sucks cos don't have gamepad or wheel whichever one is best...arrow keys not really helpful on difficult tracks...Really struggle on the ramp tracks... Mr Wetzyl (362)
425101 2006-01-31 01:37:00 What is a good cheap gamepad, as i know the kids will like that game,

Cheers

425102 2006-01-31 01:45:00 Logitech are a good brand, I find the keyboard is still easy enough to control the game. Overdrive_5000 (4950)
425103 2006-01-31 01:45:00 Cheapest way is to use a USB adaptor for a PS2 controller. Metla (12)
425104 2006-01-31 10:39:00 It's an awesome game, we had 30 in a NZ BF Clan server tonight, loads of fun.

Anyhow, if anyone wants a local d/l link that's quick (I got 240 kb/s), PM me.

If you need to know more about where the online racing server is, check the NZ Battlefield Non BF2 Gaming Forum (http://bf2.nzbattlefield.com/)
