2006-02-04 02:10:00 | Ah, but I'm comparing plans of equivalent pricing, Actrix's 2mbps is $15 more per month, and honestly, 1Mbps is quite sufficient, but it never hurts to have a even higher speed, right? So no one uses Worldnet and downloads to provide an opinion on this forum??? If so, never mind, and thanks for all the comments!

2006-03-02 11:27:00 | Hi all... I'll just like to end the post with some feedback, now that I'm on... Actrix. 1mbps, about 700mb/day cap. It's.... SLOW-AS....... Downloads from microsoft.com is around 15KB/s, from gmail it's 7KB/s, and from their own servers it's only about 40KB/s...... Can't wait to leave..... And calls to customer service with quite a honest and direct tech person confirms that their broadband capacity is bursting to its limits..

2006-03-02 19:19:00 | Hmm, sorry to hear. Kinda confirms basic research I did a few years ago while on dialup. Was looking around for a stable isp (was getting annoyed at ihugs dropping me off all the time) I found that Actrix had a very limited capacity with customers online at any on time.n Too many and the whole lot would drop | Myth (110) | |

2006-03-09 07:35:00 | Just wana say that i have moved to new zealand from the UK about 5 weeks ago, i signed up with actrix as they seemed to have the best limits, however i soon realised that 1gb per day on 2 mb is the biggest piss take ever, in the uk i was on 2mb with unlimited downloads i could easily go through 6 gb a day and not have any caps on the amount of data that i download. All of the new zealands isp's in my opinion are over priced and completly pathetic when it comes to download bandwidth and upload speeds. Considering NZ likes to think that they use all the latest technologies in data comms dont you think that its about time that they bring the service into the 21st centuary. When broadband was born the idea was that u have a 24/7 connection and can do what u like without limits. this is just a classic example of getting ripped off and the people of new zealand are just letting it happen to them BIG TIME!!! | affy1977 (9726) | |
2006-03-09 07:51:00 | You want to send your post to Telecom and let them know. They are the one's who govern would broadband plans the ISPs can give as they own the phone lines and all the broadband gear. Trevor :)
