425826 2006-01-31 18:46:00 Hi,
I have recently noticed that when I get emails from people that use AVG I get their AVG certification as an attachment. It tells me what version they are using & if it is up to date.
This same info is also at the bottom of the email message box.
Is this a recent thing with it being attached?
Pauline.

425827 2006-01-31 19:12:00 Is this a recent thing with it being attached? It's just the way they added the MIME parts in. The attached portion is displayed inline as well.

Personally I find it really annoying - particularly during an e-mail conversation when you end up with "This message scanned by AVG", the persons signature, and half the time a stupid disclaimer printed every time they hit reply.

But that's another rant for another day.

425828 2006-01-31 19:39:00 The sender can disable the message in AVG
I believe if the message is sent as HTML it will show as an attachment, if it is a plain text mesage it will only show in the body of the message.

Open the Control Center, double-click the Email Scanner, click the Configure button and remove both checkmarks next to the options labeled Certify mail.

425829 2006-01-31 20:46:00 I still agree with ninja... its good when you notice somebody hasnt been updating in a while, but at the end of the day its their bad and not yours :( Chilling_Silence (9)
425830 2006-02-01 08:51:00 Thanks Safari.
I will let the people concerned know that & hopefully they will remove it.

I don't care what antivirus they use just so long as they have one.
Pauline.
