2008-07-11 02:19:00 There are a couple of problems here really, both stemming from a clean reinstall of Windows XP professional I had to do because of a problem with zone alarm. The minor one is to do with scrolling. Whenever I scroll a funny wavy line goes up and down the screen, and it scrolls really slowly. This also applies to moving stuff round on the screen. There must be a way of correcting or controlling this right? The main one however is to do with Civilisation 3. Previously I have had civilisation 4 refuse to uninstall from my machine. I thought with a clean reinstall I might get the chance to play civilisations three and four properly. However halfway through the installation of three the machine froze forcing a reboot. Now I have half a game on the machine, which when I try to remove it Windows tells me it is gone but the files are still there for all to see. Someone has recommended I just manually delete all the files. Someone else has recommended I use something called registry crawler, which apparently will find these files and delete them. I don't want to do anything rash at the moment, particularly installing Civ4, in case something awful happens. How on earth do I get rid of this dammed thing? Guerilla Surgeon (6848)
2008-07-11 02:22:00 Just delete its entries / folder/s and use ccleaner to clean its crap off the hdd Speedy Gonzales (78)
2008-07-11 02:33:00 You did undate the vidio driver after the re-install? Driftwood (5551)

Do you have the correct graphics drivers installed? This issue is normally caused by lack of 2d hardware acceleration, which as a rule means your graphics drivers are missing...

2008-07-12 21:43:00 No kidding google yahoo or not - didn't work. Ccleaner cleaned. There are no files available thru. search function relating to Civ. 3 but uninstaller only offers repair/install options. Will 'repair' but nothing discernable happens. Guerilla Surgeon (6848)
2008-07-13 08:13:00 Try installing Civ 3 again, then uninstalling :) feersumendjinn (64)
