| 427382 | 2006-02-07 08:24:00 | I think many of us here have stories of drunkeness that we chuckle at now . The problem here is that we have all done it . Telling someone not to do it, because we have can only be seen as hypocritical and is only going to fuel the desire to do the same . It is an unfortunate cycle of the Kiwi culture that is going to be hard to break . I am hoping that my 15 years of sobriety to date will influence my kids, at least they see there is an alternative, but then again my dad didnt drink and I still went out and got drunk regularly anway . Have a good night, do the yard glass if you must, 21 shots is just plain suicide - you dont appear to be a big drinker so hopefully this forthcoming experience wont lead to habit . My sister (who I was visiting) organised a quick 21st (with stripper) for me at Palmy with her partner and a few of there mates; all of who were Massey students. Didn't have a yardie, so we improvised with (as I remember) a plastic jug. After the yardie, I remember 3 events, one of which involved being carried to bed. Anyway, I don't condone excessive alcohol consumption (personally I believe the kids today start too early anyway), but a 21st happens just one time; do the yardie. Enjoy the night... and make sure you know what the stripper looks like before she arrives lol |

Beware that this is considered evil by some, and there is evil rock music throughout, and hell, everyone is wearing black, we must be satanists....oh wait, Its just a bunch of people havin a good time (dunno about the fat guy in the gumboots though,looks like trouble) Meh, Killer party, Hail the Yard glass. rapidshare.de |

They have also decided that I have to do a half yardie next time I'm drinking with them "in preperation for my 21st". Perhaps you're in with the wrong crowd. |
