| 687358 | 2008-07-11 01:51:00 | Hey there My computer keep on freezing while i am playing a game and it froze once during window media player. Games are: battlefield 2142 cod 4 need for speed most wanted I used to play these fine till my graphics card had a problem. And had to be replaced since then my games keep on crashing. I had update the drivers to the latest to see if it solves the problems but it didn't. I did get BSOD couples of time but couldn't read the information as the screen had heaps of lines on it. Haven't had BSOD for a while now. I am not sure if its the graphics card or something else. Any suggestions?? specs AMD Athlon 64X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+ 1 gig ddr2 ram 320 gig hard drive Nvidia Geforce 7500le 1.For the games either look on the box/case/manual for the recommended system requirements or type each one into GOOGLE:cod 4 recommended system requirements and it will tell you what you need to play the game at a good level or go to their website to find out. :) 2.What was your old graphics card that could play all your games fine? 3.If your old graphics card is better then the one you are using now then that could be your answer.;) Also those games are pretty good ones and better system specs will help you out like in all games as well too. I would recommend another 1 stick of 1 gig ram. It will help out with loading times,respawns,stuttering-lag,and general gaming performance as well making the game more smoother and enjoyable to play.:D 2 x 1 gig ddr800 = 2 gig in Dual Channel. If you are using XP Pro 64 bit or Vista 64 bit then you can have more ram if the motherboard will allow it!!! |

If i can remember right it only start crashing when i updated my bios and graphics card drivers i reinstalled the old graphics card drivers to see if it freezes or not it did freeze. | 687360 | 2008-07-11 06:11:00 | The BIOS doesnt use drivers it uses firmware You could flash back to the old BIOS, but then whatever the new BIOS has, you'll lose. Did you reset the BIOS back to its default settings, after you flashed the BIOS? Then reconfigure the settings? |
