| 688002 | 2008-07-12 03:27:00 | What is wrong with this company, it has positively the worst customer service I have ever experienced, dealing with them is more painful than having teeth pulled without anesthetic. My nightmare began on the 8th of June when I foolishly ordered a laptop from them, the delivery date came and went and no laptop appeared, unfortunately my desktop harddisk suffered a failure and I lost my customer order so was unable to check online. No problem I rang them up to find out what was happening, 3 calls later and a total of 2 hours of endless redirections to people who can not speak english the calls ended in disconnection either by me because I was about to explode or just for some unknown reason. I then tried emailing them on 3 different occasions, I received no reply to any email. Finally I got an automated email stating that my order number has changed and so has the delivery date (July 14). Ok so fast forward to 2 days before the new delivery date and I receive another email stating my order number has changed again (no reason given) and the delivery date is now the 30th of July. I tried ringing again but they close on the weekend :( Please does anyone out there know of someone who works at dell that actually lives in NZ and speaks english, do they actually have a NZ office that I can contact. Seriously at this point in time I believe dell has taken my $1835 and will never deliver what I paid for. |

| 688004 | 2008-07-12 03:39:00 | Thats what I have been doing, to no avail, all phone numbers are 0800 and they end up in some foreign country and my emails have not been replied to. | molenz (13962) | ||
| 688005 | 2008-07-12 03:51:00 | They are registered in NZ as a company, contact is through a lawyers office: There is the offchance that this could work: Dell Computer Limited Unit A1, Pacific Office Park 4 Pacific Rise, Mt Wellington Auckland New Zealand Private Bag 93231 Parnell, Auckland 6001 Tel64) 9-574-2800 Fax64) 9-573-6212 However I suspect you will get the cold shoulder from them, telling you to contact the servic people. However if this isn't working, you are entitled to contact their representative in NZ. If you're really annoyed, you could slap a small claim on them or complain to Consumer Affairs. And tell them you're posting blow-by-blow updates of the saga on all the popular NZ forums - here, overclockers, trademe..... I had hellish trouble with their helpline over my desktop - not interested, didn't answer emails, every time I phoned I had to go through the whole hassle from the beginning - the included webcam didn't work - in the end it wasn't worth pursuing, but this is my last Dell computer. |

| 688010 | 2008-07-12 14:19:00 | hi guys..i order a laptop from dell also experienced with their customer service and i found that they are pretty ok.... i think it depends on who you are contacting too because i believe their sales customer service dont incharge with certain issue like repair or undeliver, since they called "sales".... i suggest you email directly to the local manager then you will get a promot reply and the manager will organize some one to solve the issue ps.usually they are pretty friendly.... they are big company and i can tell that they treat customer satisfaction as their frist priortity. |
