688782 2008-07-14 09:56:00 Hi i have a problem with watching the videos i record from FRAPS.. its a program that calculates FPS, takes SCREENSHOTS and RECORDS in game.

i have downloaded codecs for it but still no avail. I have also downloaded and installed the latest K-Lite Mega Codec pack. Still nothing.

This is the message it gives me when i try to watch it:

688785 2008-07-14 23:14:00 Try VLC Media Player (www.videolan.org).

I occasionally have issues with WMP, Fraps and Vista too, can be arsed fixing it. VLC works sweet for me.

688786 2008-07-14 23:18:00 What codec does FRAPS use to encode the video?
You could try using FFDshow, I find VLC, while it plays anything, uses more CPU for playback.

688787 2008-07-15 01:22:00 well u c the problem is i needed to put the three video files into windows movie maker and join them into 1. the replay i saved was split into 3 files and wmp, wmm doesnt read it. so thats the only reason i needed it. so vlc media player worked like a charm but windows movie maker cant read it? almightynugget (13536)
688788 2008-07-15 01:32:00 Aha.

Try Super (www.erightsoft.com), see if that will convert it to a MPG or something WMM will see.
