431187 2006-02-16 10:34:00 Hi,

Does anybody know where the controller (relay box) for the factory central locking lives in a 1993 Honda Civic LX Sedan? I have tried in vain to follow the wires to it but have had no luck.

It's for a car alarm. Also, for bonus points ;): If you had a 2-button remote and only used one, and the other could be anything in the car (goes to a relay), what would you (should I) make it do? Any ideas?

Thanks.

431188 2006-02-16 10:50:00 For your extra button-

Make sure the radio keeps its setting on a long journey.
But that's probably needed only for olds like me who HATE these pre-set station buttons with no info shown & want to turn a knob to change things on a dial with proper numbers that we know.

431191 2006-02-17 07:44:00 I have searched Google high and low but with no luck. I might try the library though.

Yeah, in this crazy country you only need to be 15.5 years old to drive a car by yourself (About 1 month younger than me). I got my restricted on the 4th of Jan (I worked quick :p).

431193 2006-02-17 22:38:00 Maybe you should give some thought then to changing your moniker to George15? Terry Porritt (14)
431194 2006-02-18 00:24:00 From memory, it's in one of the front doors, I can't remember which, just sit inside the car & operate the door lock from the drivers door & listen for the clicks. You'll most likely have to fit a c/l solenoid in the drivers door anyway as most Hondas have only a switch in the drivers door that gets moved one way or the other when you lock\unlock the door with a key. If you've got a switch inside the car, on the dash or the drivers door interior trim, that when operated locks & unlocks the drivers door as well as the others, you don't need an extra solenoid. You then have to find the negative switching wires to connect to the lock/unlock on the alarm module. Phil B (648)
431195 2006-02-18 03:32:00 Thanks Phil, I'll look inside the door (listening first though).

Terry, the 12 after my name was never related to my age. It was suggested by some website that required registration when "George" was taken, and stuck :p.
