That’s correct you get the download speed for free & you have to pay extra to upgrade your upload speed

Hope this helps :)

PS: Sorry if this question has all ready been answered I have not yet read the next page of this thread.

429683 2006-02-13 07:51:00 So your telling me that I should appreciate that Telecom will give me a faster connection that means I can reach my downgraded data cap in...oooh about half a day and then spend the rest of the month on dial up speeds? pine-o-cleen (2955)

429685 2006-02-13 07:55:00 Right lads,

Here's the discussion on Telecom from today Larry Williams show on NewstalkZB.
I've taken out the ads etc...link below. (coverage includes from just before 5 to about 5:45pm).

I actually emailed Larry before the show and he used my points to grill that Matt "Crock o' ****" Crocket 3 times.

Can't you control yourself? Greg (193)
429687 2006-02-13 08:00:00 Talk about looking a gift horse in the mouth! Does no-one even vaguely realise the positive step forward this is?

Yes, I was happy when I first read about this upgrade but then when I found out how much it will cost then that made me unhappy.

429688 2006-02-13 08:02:00 It's not that I can't control myself, whats got me mad is the crippling data cap. I would of course get to 10gb faster on 2mb, but 1gb, that's just insulting. pine-o-cleen (2955)
429689 2006-02-13 08:09:00 Ive just listened to the newstalk zb link you put up about broadband, What a load of ****e telecom are talking they are just putting up a smokescreen to avoid the government regulating them back to the way it was years ago when their was no competition.Telecom are so afraid of losing the monopoly on the market that they launch these plans now to avoid being whipped by the government and to avoid comepetition with other companys cause telecom dont like to play ball. technophobia (8565)

That Matt guy who works for Telecom imo does not have a clue what he’s talking about in the way the upload speed, I wish I know about this early & I would of e-mail Larry & put a question to Matt I would of said something like “ Have you tried uploading a 20mb video” or “tried uploading few mbs of photos to be printed by online print shops.”

429691 2006-02-13 08:30:00 Telcom are ignorant to the core as long as they are making top dollar its up your ass to the customer they dont give a **** if you are a new or existing customer they smell money so they stiff you for more money its a bad habit they cant get out of. technophobia (8565)
