For you will indeed be initiated by your elders into the joys of hostel living - and possibly even pass my house in your pyjamas at 2am en route to the main street ... unless customs have changed recently, that is? (Some of the more dramatic tasks forced on freshers years ago were dropped when the neighbours complained - let alone the students' parents) But as it changes each year, I can't warn you what to expect - just suggest that about mid-week, something you didn't plan yourself will happen, probably in the small hours. And you leave Bluff alone, Greven. They're salt of the earth (sea?) people at Bluff... |

| 431133 | 2006-02-17 00:43:00 | I'm seriously concerned about this expecting our student population to live in such squaller as internet free zones.. :yuck: I mean.. hey i don't expect luxury here, just a standard rat infested, boarded up, rotten floored, leaky plumbing, 1 toilet per 20 inhabitants, poorly lit, under insulated, previously condemned type deal suitable for a student hall. I never thought it would sink to the squaller of not having internet available for the students. Have they got power so you can plug in your standalone machine and weep at the isolation? So close and yet *sob* so far. That's inhumane. I think this is a call for the human rights commision..... E-mail them as soon as you get there. Honestly, i know hippies who wouldn't live in such squaller. |
