689115 2008-07-16 03:18:00 Try looking in

C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386

....find the msconfig in there and double click that - does that one run?

If it does, then left click once to highlight that msconfig, right click and select copy.

Then go to

C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386

and delete the msconfig that is there allready (if there is one) and then right click and select "paste"

Does it work when you type msconfig in the "run" box now?

If it does - cool

If it doesnt - reply back and I'll give you the reg fix for that.

**** EDIT ****

Hold on!! - I just re read again

Are you trying to open from start/run and type msconfig (should open)

OR from command prompt (just noticed you said "c prompt")

To run from c prompt, you need to copy/paste the full path....

C:\WINDOWS\PCHEALTH\HELPCTR\Binaries\msconfig.exe

and in fact, you don't even need a command prompt at all, if you paste that full path into a folder address bar and hit go - it will run msconfig also!

689117 2008-07-17 05:27:00 Ok - here is a copy of my msconfig (www.theoldtigersden.com)

Download it and unzip it to your desktop and try double clicking that one (it should run ok from the desktop)

If it does run ok, delete your current one from
C:\WINDOWS\PCHEALTH\HELPCTR\
and put that one in there.

Let us know how that goes....
