Tools>>Folder Options>>File Types
Select 'Folder' from the list
Click 'Advanced'
Add a new 'Explore with Q-Dir' entry
Set it as the default
Click 'OK'
Click 'OK'That should be all you need to do.

should be 4 tabs...... General - View - File Types - Offline Files

You can also get there from start -> Control Panel -> Folder Options

Not too familiar with vista yet, but I believe you will find the filetype associations here :

Control Panel > Default Programs > Associate a file type
