688907 2008-07-14 21:35:00 I am running Sunbelt personal firewall and have noticed that occasionally, the application does not load at boot and I have to load it manually.

When this happens, I get NO message from Windows security centre to the effect that the firewall is not operating.

I did wonder if the problem was just that the icon is not loading to the system tray until I recently installed a new programme and got no response from the firewall.

Any ideas what this issue might be?

688908 2008-07-14 21:52:00 It may still be running, just not showing in the System Try, I have had that on the odd occasion with Nod32.

To Check - Press Ctrl+Alt+Del and bring up the Task manager, look to see if its running in the Processes.

Why would you? MS only cares about its own firewall.

No, thats not true. When Comodo doesnt start, I get a message from the Security Center on Vista.
