| 689647 | 2008-07-17 05:23:00 | Can anyone advise me of software for W2K which can transfer from CD to an ipod nano? The itunes version required for the nano won't run on W2K... |

Apple dropped iPod and iTunes support for it a few years ago. Also what you are attempting to do is just making life hard for yourself. |

You can also get a Mac and Linux version. Once it is on you can use it on any machine. I have a couple of daughters who use it quite happily with their iPods. Unfortunately I think you still need to use iTunes once to enable the mass storage device option on the iPod (i.e. make it act like a disk when you plug it in). |

So it resets. During the reset, press the middle button and left arrow button. You'll see it flash for a sec, this is diag mode. Press play. Then use the left/right arrow to go through the options in the menu One of these options is diskmode Once you finish press left/right arrow buttons till you get to reset. Press the middle button. It'll reset the Ipod |

| 689652 | 2008-07-22 23:45:00 | Thanks to those who responded to my query. I was looking for a simple solution - just would have liked to transfer from CD to ipod, but will go back to my trusty cassette walkman as it is very straightforward and nearly as good quality.... Cheers pjcxb |

| 689653 | 2008-07-23 02:02:00 | The simple answer to your Question is that yes you can transfer music from CD to iPod but in order to do that you would need to move with the times as it were and update from Win2K which Microsofy stopped supporting about 4-5 years ago and move on to XP - from there the importing process is pretty straight forward, just pop the CD in the CD drive and click Import Music and BINGO! Your music gets imported. Cheers Have a nice day. :) |
