689654 2008-07-17 03:46:00 I'm getting a cordless mouse, I find notebook ones a bit small generally, the microsoft corded ones are ok. I can't find any info on mouse dimensions- anyone care to comment?

cheers

689655 2008-07-17 04:04:00 IMO cordless ones are annoying, because they lag slightly and don't pick up really small movements. But it's up to you :)

Go down to your local PC shop or DSE and get a feel for some.

Then buy from Ascent (http://www.ascent.co.nz) :D

689657 2008-07-17 04:08:00 have a look Here (www.microsoft.com)

Select the mouse you want, under the details tab it gives basic dimensions, and some of the product Documentation (www.microsoft.com) gives more, select the mouse from the drop down list, then the PDF file.

But its best to " Have a Feel" :xmouth::blush: at a shop, that way you can tell what feels comfortable.

Cordless are also a pian when the batteries go flat.
Logitech make lots - cordless and corded, their gaming mice are large - you probably don't care about their extra buttons but they are big, and nice to use.

689659 2008-07-17 23:13:00 I've got chunky hands and quite like the Logitech MX series... some of them are funny to look at though :) davedog (13974)

I've got a Logitech MX1000, which I love. Feels nice, and doesn't look too funny.

Well worth it, and nice too game with too.

Haven't noticed any lag either.

689661 2008-07-18 02:10:00 Try and get a rechargeable one. I had a cheap one I bought off Trademe and the batteries melted after a few weeks when I wasn't using it. Left a sticky gooey mess in the bag and all in the mouse, had to throw it away. lakewoodlady (103)
