| 432532 | 2006-02-21 06:41:00 | Everytime JAFA Mayor Hubbard wants to spend some money, he puts on his best striped shirt with the white collar that's too big for his scrawny neck, then gets himself on TV to tell us how important his latest scheme is for all New Zealand. Tonight it was the AK Showgrounds. He wants to refurbish them. So, to get Central Govt money to help out he claims that the refurbishment is vital for all NZ. What a load of hogswash. |

| 432536 | 2006-02-21 21:04:00 | Shadbolt was never Mayor of Auckland, he only appeals to Westies and those from the deep south . ;) Most of us Jafas would probably be glad to have JB back again, he was a no-bullsh|t straight shooter and at least you knew where you stood with him, and he wore all his skeletons on the outside where everybody could see them . Hubbard is a well-meaning wimp with all the charisma of a bowl of last month's weetbix .
