431396 2006-02-17 01:03:00 Almost a week ago I sold a CD-Rom drive (52x) on tradeMe. Sent an email to the buyer with account details including reference to use, haven't heard back.
Checked my account as I was also expecting money from another sale (buyer lives in Christchurch). It seems the CD-Rom buyer has deposited the funds (buyer lives in Manawatu according to profile) in Feilding branch with no reference 2 days ago. Thats cool I thought, sent another email asking for address to post to. Nothing.. no reply... zip.

How long should I wait before contacting TradeMe? Is that the right course of action, or should I just wait?

431399 2006-02-17 03:08:00 Some people don't look at email every day. :D
Sometimes email doesn't work. (nzoomail was dead for over a month. :()
You've got the money; that's fine. The buyer will doubtless let you know.

431400 2006-02-17 03:46:00 I always get the address and exact price sorted out with the buyer, before giving them bank a/c details.

Chill out, they may be away or even in hospital..

Wait 7 days.

431401 2006-02-17 06:43:00 I'd make a thread about it.

Why does all the TradeMe stuff come here?

As I think half the bad stuff about trade me gets remove from there forums, that’s what one person said when some one ask this a few weeks back.

Why does all the TradeMe stuff come here?Maybe the same reason your bitching ends up here .. nowhere else to put it, and not sure how to deal with it by ourselves

Coincidentaly the "some one" who asked last week was also ninja. And for every other Trade Me related thread. The same answer is always provided, but obviously ignored.

Ninja, WHY do you see any problem with people making threads here about TradeMe issues? No one if forcing you to read it, and for those times when the word "TradeMe" isn't sitting in the title, you do have a Back button...

This is a good place to ask these questions - the TradeMe forum is like a scene from 1984 (the book). Except with threads, not people...

431405 2006-02-17 19:09:00 Hey Tazz, what email address are you using to send the emails from?
If you are using a Hotmail or Yahoo email address the buyers email host may be marking it as spam and so the buyer may be deleting without even reading.
