What cheap ads they are coming out to send one lucky winner in space just so more people sign up to their already pathetic so called cheap and fast broadband and boost numbers for subscribers to prevent regulation! And Thereasa's statement about $1/day Broadband is a Joke. As soon as you reach the measely 200MB your Broadband is gone...and the rest of days is $1/day dial up access! What a pathetic offer From Telecom! The only people who would defend Telecom and its policys would be Telecom employees. Just because it rakes billions in profit and pays well to its employees, they are like little puppets "yuping" everything to what Theresa has to say! Thereasa statement about repeat "right up there with play according to independent tests" was all she could say. Independent tests my arse....probably a group of people testing who work for Telecom! Again..What a blatant lie! |

Besides, while I have no numbers to back it up, I'm sure the wISPs and so forth will have a higher investment/customer ratio than telecom. Yes.. but this has *nothing* to do with telecom's williness to invest. The areas you were talking about had broadband coverage funded by project probe. Telecom won the contract, and was *paid* by the NZ Gvt to roll out broadband. -Qyiet Could have fooled me. I don't see any of them jumping up and down complaining they can't contribute - they just wat access to it on their terms. |

I can think of others far removed from the telecommunications field whose critics took concrete action against them - because they thought it was their only recourse - as opposed to words in a special-interest forum. I won't name those because I don't want to enter this argument (I'm not qualified;still on Dialup) & it would change the subject. I've never liked sweeping statements. My job trained them out of me. This one may be true if you insert the words "by computer users." But I couldn't possibly comment ... |
