689733 2008-07-17 09:17:00 So are you trying to install Vista, with or without SP1 slipstreamed? Speedy Gonzales (78)
689734 2008-07-17 09:29:00 Motherboard is a MSI - 6653 EG can anyone try to give me the link to this bios update? Are you sure those numbers are correct - I have looked through the complete list of MSI boards and according to MSI it doesn't exist ? wainuitech (129)
689735 2008-07-17 20:17:00 it was a long day yesterday, it is 6533 mark1978 (13845)
689736 2008-07-17 21:51:00 it was a long day yesterday, it is 6533 :crying You get days like that - happens to us all - have a look at Here 6533 (global.msi.com.tw) is this the board you have ??

IF it is there are various drivers for vista, the system ones may be the ones you want as well.

If its the correct board, the Last BIOS was back in 2002.

That board will be getting a bit old to run Vista I would suspect.

689737 2008-07-17 23:39:00 Thanks for that!!

Now I had a look and it does seem to have Vista drivers, so maybe it is possible, I was talking to a colleage this morning and he reckons I should re-burn the ISO on the lowest speed.

Would that make any difference?

689738 2008-07-17 23:43:00 What ISO?

So, you're using a pirated version of Vista, and wondering why it wont work?
