| 432022 | 2006-02-19 04:32:00 | Dare I ask Terry why anyone would need to squeeze the ... (Lunch should be over by now, but preferably before the next mealtime), Well, it's like this, some dogs have a propensity to accumulate fluid in their anal glands. A bit like a skunk, when they're frightened they're likely to let it go. Some dogs are worse than others, we seem to have had a run of them over the years. Often when a dog drags his/her bum on the ground, it's not worms, it's a sign of full anal glands. Then they need squeezing to empty them. IT IS ONE OF THE WORST SMELLS EVER :yuck: One border collie did it when being trained to cross a Forest Service swing bridge ;) Our little dachshund X needs it doing every few months. OK, you can go and have your tea now :) |

| 432023 | 2006-02-19 04:39:00 | I wallpaper Do all electrical installation and repairs, including TV, Radio, PC etc. Basic car maintenance (oil, filters, brakes etc) Basic plumbing repairs (just mended my rural water scheme pipe after an "accident" with a spade at the weekend retreat) Painting Carpentry/Joinery (Have rise and fall sawbench, drop saw, planer table, router table, lathe, bandsaw etc) Glazing wooden windows (even made the frames in some cases) Can use a plunger (wooden handle is good for squeezing the dogs anal glands) Use chainsaw (also serves to euthanase the old cats) Laying concrete, building with concrete blocks, timber framing. Mostly need to do these things because I am too cheap to employ the relevant tradesman. But sorry beetle, I don't have a black van. Damn. |
