689395 2008-07-16 03:41:00 What is a good SATA HD enclosure?

I'm going to be putting a Seagate 250GB in it (being replaced with a 1TB :D)

Is this 1tb Seagate drive good? (www.ascent.co.nz)

689396 2008-07-16 03:46:00 That HDD is good. I have it. :p

I'd recommend a Welland enclosure. The flasher ones come with USB, E-Sata and Firewire.

689397 2008-07-16 03:47:00 Regarding the HD Enclosure - do you want USB alone or Fire-wire as well ?

Regarding the Drive its self , never used the 1Tb - BUT Seagate are a good brand (all I use), so it should be OK.

I'd LIKE firewire but I don't really need it. Depends on the enclosure - I wouldn't buy a more expensive one just because it has firewire :)

689399 2008-07-16 04:47:00 What Wratterus suggested in post #2 - used a few of them myself and they appear to be OK. wainuitech (129)
