431695 2006-02-17 10:14:00 What aviation insurers are their in NZ?

I been looking at insurance, I just begun flying like a month and ago and didn't get insurance before hand. So, aviation are excluded by all the insurers that I have contacted incl death, injury, disablement, trauma. As well as other activities like gliding, hang gliding, abseiling, racing cars, parachute, diving.

Specificially I am looking at life insurance.
Would health insurance have the same clause as well?

Any ideas?

Thanks.

431696 2006-02-17 23:41:00 Selling insurance is profitable by covering things which are unlikely to happen. They're not stupid. Except that they are. :D They won't cover things which, just because they could be dangerous, are generally safer.;) There are strict safety rules which are normally followed. (Except when student pilots play at dogfighting). Graham L (2)
431697 2006-02-18 00:25:00 Not sure what the setup is. I refuse to have anything to do with insurance companies. If I take out insurance it means I am betting I will need it. The insurance company is betting I won't. JJJJJ (528)
