| 690310 | 2008-07-19 20:52:00 | I've got a photo that has a trapezoid effect, whereby the top of the photo in slightly wider than the bottom. I’d like to bring the sides parallel but can’t find an editing programme that will do it. However, I’m sure I have seen a programme that can do it but just can’t remember which one. Any suggestions? :thanks |

You have to install some libraries first, and then the actual application . It's pretty industrial strength, so I'd say it's worth it . | 690315 | 2008-07-20 00:48:00 | I only have Photoshop Elements, but I access that sort of stuff through "Image" "Transform" "Free Transform. I open an image, click image, click on transform, free transform, and a box appears around photo. You can click on a handle and change it to how it should be, or if you hold ctrl, shift and alt and drag, you can really distort it. Hit apply. Good luck. |

Mind you, it is a fairly old edition, but typically, doesn’t tell me what version or what year. I does however tell me all the programmers’ names including their cats dogs and budgies, but nothing useful. So, I’ve installed GIMP and still I can’t work out how to do it. :help: :D |

Straighten edges is a matter of playing around with the transform tool and probably a couple of other tools and may be a few tutorials. I have to VERY good photoshop books here by Bert Monroy who is an honorary Photoshop fellow. He helped Adobe in the early days of Photoshop when they put their new versions out. According to the prologue they would give him a Mac and a copy of Photoshop and put him in a sound proof room with a big "watching window" like they have in the crime shows and "watch" the expressions on his face while he attempted to do stuff. I can imagine there was a fair bit of %U&%& and ***^&**^& going on. :D |

| 690318 | 2008-07-20 05:17:00 | Ahhhhh brainwave . ;) Having consulted Belac Advisor I’m informed that the Photoshop programme I’m using is: Wait for it: Adobe Photoshop Elements Version 1 . 0 . 1 :eek: Which may very well explain why I can’t find the transform facility . :D Hmmmm, moving right along . Now come on guys I’ve now got GIMP 2 . 2 . 17 installed but can’t find the Transform function or equivalent . Give the old fellow a hand . :D |

| 690319 | 2008-07-20 06:51:00 | It is a fairly standard feature and seems odd that it isnt there (I have nevr used elements or photoshop for that matter) Have you looked under Image - Transform - Skew or Distort Scroll down to the Skew Distort or correct perspective section on the below page akvis.com |
