| 690275 | 2008-07-19 09:33:00 | My HDD crashed, has been tested but, it will never work again. I do have a Norton Ghost Version 9 backup of the drive on another IDE HDD, not installed in the computer, but kept in a cupboard for an emergency such as this. I have another IDE HDD which I have re-formatted, which will become the new C:/ to replace the dead drive. My computer has a working CD Drive and I have my origional copy of Ghost, including it's serial/setup number. BUT- I assume I cannot install Ghost onto an empty drive. AFAIK Ghost V9 does not run from a floppy or a flash drive. I just can't see just what to do now, so, help please. |

Following a catastrophic failure, you can boot from the Ghost software CD into recovery mode and very easily restore an entire drive including the MBR, making the disk ready to boot. " |
