690210 2008-07-19 07:50:00 All of my Older mp3's play fine on my PC but when i copy them to my mp3 player or to a data cd they skip when i play them, it sounds like they've been sped up. sethsi026 (13983)
690211 2008-07-19 08:45:00 Dont know about the MP3 player.

But I had the same prob when I burned MP3's to cd (they skipped in a stereo cd). I took the cds back for a refund / got them replaced. 1/2 of them were stuffed.

690212 2008-07-19 16:13:00 Are they encoded in VBR (Variable BitRate) by any chance? Some devices that play MP3 can't handle VBR encoded MP3s properly and the results can be very strange.

Odd things can also happen if they are encoded in a bitrate higher or lower than what the device supports.

What program do you use to copy them to player/CD? it might be doing something weird to them..

What are you playing the CDs in?

690213 2008-07-20 01:40:00 the mp3's wont work on my mp3 playere, which is a philips gogear, or on my car stereo which is a JVC mp3 unit. or on any other stereo which supports mp3s for that matter.
I've only just started having this problem, they used to all work fine.
