690251 2008-07-19 09:14:00 What you really need to do is try another Graphic card, one that you know works, then if that doesn't work either, then there is possibly a problem with the motherboard. wainuitech (129)
690252 2008-07-19 11:09:00 It wont boot without a hdd,

Um yes it will boot without an HDD. You'll get a message complaining it can't find an O/S or you can access the BIOS and thats about it but you don't need a hard drive.
Only if you want it to continue further.

You need:
Power Supply
Motherboard
CPU
RAM

And a keyboard..........although it should still start without keyboard - just not a lot of point in that..........

And probably a video card too :p

I've never seen a computer that can't complete the POST without a hard drive either...

690254 2008-07-24 06:08:00 okay, I have replaced the GPU and am still having no joy.

"no sync" on screen.

I have tried a different HDD, and RAM. Both should be fine but I suppose it is possible that the RAM is corrupted. Can anyone suggest my next move? A new Mobo? Or Ram? I live out in the sticks so I have to get all these bits in.
