434519 2006-02-28 20:05:00 You evidently weren't using the Internet in 1995.

I was on dialup with World-net in 2000 and it was $49-95 unlimited.

434520 2006-02-28 20:26:00 Xtra's 256/128 unlimited plan (going up to 2mbs in april)

Why because i live in the country and thought they would give a more reliable service.

I think the diff between broadband and dialup is like a car and a bike. Both forms of transport, get you round OK but you aren't going 150 k on the bike to do the supermarket shop.

434523 2006-03-01 04:32:00 Verizon, US is my ISP . . . . .

with my phone Freedom Package
unlimited long distance, anywhere in the US, Canada, most of Mexico and The Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Guam, The Fillipines, Hawaii, Midway Is, Fiji Is, Aleutian Is, Nova Scotia . . . and most places where a US flag flies including Texas)

3-way Calling,
Caller ID,
Call waiting
Call waiting ID,
Call Blocking,
8 Mail Boxes;

added Encore Package
(free) for preferred customers with good payment records which gives me personal MSN and Verizon 24/7 tech support and REAL humans to talk to . . . . not a voice recognition machine!

4M (3984 . 6/501 . 1), no caps and no limits and I typically leave my 'puter online 24/7 except for updates requiring restarts .

The above has to be purchased as a package deal, and unfortunately is not offered any longer . . . I got in under the wire for this!!!

434524 2006-03-01 04:33:00 Yes, but is that native or exotic pigeons? Makes quite a difference to latency and packet loss (particulary near airports).Native of course - no fancy GUI for the bird to slow things done! Jen (38)
