690538 2008-07-21 03:41:00 If you are still in Excel - then select all the columns (hold down SHIFT key and left mouse click to add each required column width) then make the change to them all at once. You can do the same for row height. I'm not sure what you mean by "column height" but probably one or the other of those. (Or were you meaning in Word....?) coldot (6847)
690539 2008-07-21 08:10:00 Coldot...I want to make the field box bigger. I have got the width, side to side. Now I want to increase the height, top to bottom.

Then to take this on down the page to about Line 200+/- .

Then move it to a specific Word Folder. PJ

690541 2008-07-21 10:51:00 Ok...Here's another one. When I type into a Cell it auto selects Ariel & 10pt type. Ariel is fine, but I keep having to change 10pt to 12 pt. Can I make the 12 pt type size the norm? PJ Poppa John (284)

I use Excel 2007 and from the help file:-

Change the default font in Excel

By default, Microsoft Office Excel 2007 uses the Body Font font in font size 11 (which is displayed as the Calibri font in font size 11 when you type data in a worksheet, header or footer, or text box) but you can change the default font and font size for all new workbooks that you create.

Click the Microsoft Office Button office.microsoft.com and then click Excel Options.
In the Popular category, under When creating new workbooks, do the following:
In the Use this font box, click the font that you want to use.
In the Font Size box, enter the font size that you want to use. Note To begin using the new default font and font size, you must restart Excel. The new default font and font size are used only in new workbooks that you create after you restart Excel; existing workbooks are not affected. To use the new default font, you can move worksheets from an existing workbook to a new workbook. For more information, see Move or copy a worksheet (office.microsoft.com).

690544 2008-07-22 08:57:00 And if you need to change data already in the spreadsheet -
* click on cell A1 and Shift key then mouse the cursor down and across until you have blocked the whole section (release Shift key)
* click on Format, Cell, Font and select size, font face etc.
