434897 2006-03-02 00:27:00 It's amazing. And all those policemen to keep the crowd from rushing onto the court. I have never seen him dunk it yet, but he makes up to that with his dribbling skills. mejobloggs (264)
434898 2006-03-02 00:57:00 And those dribbling skills are very useful with Victoria, too! KiwiTT_NZ (233)
434899 2006-03-02 01:52:00 It's a long way from "crap at maths/english" to mental retardation.
"LONDON: Superstar David Beckham, whose mental agility has been questioned before in the media, has said his six-year-old son's maths homework leaves him baffled."

The kids 6 - and he can't help him with his maths?! 1 + 1 =2.....

434900 2006-03-02 01:56:00 Yeah because the media is well known for their accurate portrayal of everything

I can't remember how to do long division, doesn't exactly affect my everyday life.

I'm not saying the guys smart, but I don't think he's literally retarded.

But it does sound a lot like a story about nothing hyped to make it "newsworthy" . I'm not going to comment on grammer or use of non-words, as I'm sure a lot of you have held your tounges many times while reading stuff I wrote. I hope I don't sound as bad as that though.

434902 2006-03-02 02:58:00 Obviously you don't need to be bright to become a "celebrity". Ball skills seem to help: Beckham, Paris Hilton, Pope-Benson... Graham L (2)
434903 2006-03-02 03:36:00 Ball skills seem to help: Beckham, Paris Hilton, Pope-Benson... KiwiTT_NZ (233)
434904 2006-03-02 04:42:00 Bit close to the bone GL, eh! Oooooohhh, ball skills as in tennis, gotcha .

Not sure if Beckham is a total retard in the truest sense of the word, but an accurate description of him would be "chavball tard" .

You'd also seriously hope the average 6 year old would have a few more clues that good old Dave . Evolution is in for a very rough time otherwise .

434905 2006-03-02 04:49:00 Evolution has no problems. Whatever changes are favourable to survival in the existing environment are favoured. There is no bias in evolution towards "intelligence", "complexity", "humans", or anything except survival. Bacteria are doing very well, and have been doing well for a very long time. Graham L (2)
434906 2006-03-02 05:52:00 It's a sad state of affairs when soccer + being as thick as pig ****e is seen as an evolutionary advance.

BTW, some bacteria have ramained essentially unchaged for millions upon millions of years, evolution? or have they hopped off, their genes no longer being party to it's survival techniques..... nah you're right, couldn't happen, they must've been soccer stars at some previous stage
