| 433676 | 2006-02-26 03:38:00 | I wonder if she would have intended to pay for it, Only a fool would shell out 4 grand to pick up a passport no matter how well off they were. | Metla (12) | ||
| 433677 | 2006-02-26 08:45:00 | Mmmm. Missing your flight and getting another to Oz would be a whole lot cheaper, but then again it wouldn't be tax deductible like the 4grand donation to Auckland's Rescue Helicopter Foundation. Always thought she was a dreadful woman. Every couple of years she pokes her head up and confirms it for me!! |

Every couple of years she pokes her head up and confirms it for me!! god somepeople need removing from the gene pool. if you would kindly read the article again, you would find that she HAD to make that flight to be in aus for business meetings. she is a rather high profile businesswoman. rescheduling flights often isnt an option |

Suits getting together to yak, Gees, We cant have enough of those... Any normal person (meaning those who dont have power to abuse) would have had to take it on the chin. |

Any normal person (meaning those who dont have power to abuse) would have had to take it on the chin. no, most people would do what she did. she is a very up there businesswoman. infact i know of people that have hired taxis choppers etc. btw, you dont think this is a publicity stunt. and at 6 or so in the morning, do you think the chopper is in that much of demand? and even if it was, its not as though its an auckland to wellington run. it would have taken all of 30 minutes or so, and i believe that if an accident was to occur, it would have abandoned its trip and attended the rescue. so pull your heads in, or make a donation. they dont run on monopoly money. |

| 433681 | 2006-02-26 09:32:00 | Publicity stunt? W-t-f?, Most people would do what she did? Heh? Accidents dont happen at 6am? Pull my head in? Lmfao. By your logic all the fat cats should have free reign to send the emergency services off on errands with no regard to peoples lives. why is that, because they have the money? does that make them better?, more worthy? She doesn't have balls, she has money. |

| 433682 | 2006-02-26 11:51:00 | Publicity stunt? W-t-f?, she runs a trust which fundraises for the westpac rescue helicopter after her husband had a heart attack last year . Most people would do what she did? Heh? put it this way, if you were loaded, and you knew that you could provide a large donation, in return for a small favour (remember, helicopters are only about 1k to run an hour, so $4 . 4k for a half hour or so use is quite a bit of a donation), while raising the profile of the rescue helicopters (front page exposure for a positive spin=more donations) . Accidents dont happen at 6am? i never said accidents dont happen, but have you seen the log of callouts of the helicopter in auckland? at most 2 or so a day, but usually 1 . in reality, its no different to the helicopter parked up at some kiddie show , shhowing the helicopter off interms of its capacity being impeeded . except in this role they get much bigger exposure (190000k or so circulation of the herald=potential donors) Pull my head in? yes, because if you ignore the context in which this occured, you will draw a very different outcome . you are obviously trying to pick the negative aspects of the event . any positive exposure for the trust is vital considering the negative exposure it had in the past couple of years and the fraud allegations . remember, when the helicopter is used for you, you are not asked to pay for the trip or any materials used . essentially it is a free service . and running a chopper aint cheap . Lmfao . By your logic all the fat cats should have free reign to send the emergency services off on errands with no regard to peoples lives . why is that, because they have the money? does that make them better?, more worthy? She doesn't have balls, she has money . i never said they have no regard for public life . i always noted that if in the case of an emergency it would be instantly diverted . we arent talking an auckland to wellington trip here, its a distance of maybe 50km or so, not far in a chopper . you have obviously no idea how big business works . companies succeed and fail on the merits of a meeting . being late for one is not a good look . now . lets put this in a different context . say it was winston who had left his passport at home in some cave . he has a meeting with china over trade . this meeting could make or break parts of our economy . he rings up the westpac rescue helicopters and says, look, ive left my passport at home, ill pay you 4 . 4k cash, in the hand, if you go and pick it up for me . it would only be an half hour mission, and if you get called away for any reason, then so be it . would it be ok then?? or do you have some inferiority complex with those who manage businesses successfully and know the importance of making a good impression and not missing an meeting, no matter who it was with . |

| 433684 | 2006-02-26 22:02:00 | Ah yeah, but everybody is human. Have to forget something some day. The trip could have just been counted as extra training for the helicopter crew. Testing there response time and alertness. If they did get a call, their response might actually have been faster, since they where all set up to go. I have no idea how long it would take to set up though. |
