434649 2006-02-28 20:52:00 It's noticeable to me that since my son is not d/ling anything via bittorrents anymore, I very rarely have either a trojan or a virus - or am I wrong and it's just a "sleepy" period with not a lot around?

Chances are that if he was downloading torrents it was probably other actitvities like crack/serial/porn sites causing the trojan stuff.

So do I and never get anything either but there are heaps of torrent sites around and some could be dodgey.
You are probably right about the other sites being the culprits though.

434653 2006-03-01 04:26:00 I agree with the above posts, your son has probably been visiting mainstream crap (Found with google) torrent sites.

Most experienced users using torrents don't have these issues with better sites.

434654 2006-03-01 04:40:00 google isn't very good for finding torrent sites. I found all the torrent sites I use either from a tech forum (like here & slashdot) or from links included with a bittorrent client Greven (91)
