Once you've driven a Ferrari, it's hard to go back to your Toyota Corolla .

Not that I've ever driven a Ferrari, nor do I own a Corolla . But I imagine that's what it feels like now that I'm back on my crappy HP laptop after a few weeks of test-driving Apple's new iMac .

The hype is true - the Intel dual-processor iMac is about as close to perfection as a computer can get . It's enough to make a convert of a hard-core PC user like myself .

434636 2006-02-28 20:37:00 The Intel dual-core is sad compared to an AMD dual-core. This guy might be suckered but I'm not. And 2ghz? He thinks thats fast? pctek (84)

Also is it dual-core or dual-processor, or both? The article first says it's dual-processor, then later it says dual-core... hmmm.

434638 2006-02-28 21:01:00 The dual core Dells I've used are a sorry state of affairs. What is the point in having dual 3ghz cores when you only have 512mb RAM? They don't run much faster than my old 2000+ & they pump out a lot more heat. Greven (91)
434639 2006-02-28 21:24:00 A 2.0Ghz Pentium is not fast even if it is a Dual, my X2 runs at 2.21Ghz stock and wipes the floor with all of the Pentium D series and even the Extreme Edition at times, though this is the Intel Core Duo series, (I think). I think he needs introducing to the AMD X2 series :D

You are right there Greven the small amount of RAM kind of reduces the point in having a Dual Core.
