| 691188 | 2008-07-22 10:41:00 | Hi I was wondering if my athlon 3800+ is faster than a pentium 4? CPU Speed: 2.41 Ghz System Requirements Lab rated my cpu at 3.80 GHZ... Is this true or false :illogical ? |

The speed rating is due to the higher IPC or instruction per cycle that the amd chip had over the pentium 4, not to mention the faster on chip memory controller... |
