690945 2008-07-21 22:53:00 Depending on what youre using (WEP or WPA), you need a passphrase, similar to a password. If you want it to be secure

Both have to be the same

690946 2008-07-21 23:05:00 Am using WEP but have tried all ways to connect without success

690947 2008-07-22 00:15:00 You just need to enter your code, making sure you've got the right settings. What do you use in XP? just use the same thing in Ubuntu.. Agent_24 (57)

690949 2008-07-22 01:24:00 What error do you get? How are your LAN IP addresses set up? are you using Auto (DHCP) or did you manually set it up? Agent_24 (57)
690950 2008-07-22 01:55:00 thanks for help but taking it out as xtra suggested loftyboyd (1310)
690951 2008-07-22 03:42:00 Wait, why are you listening to Xtra?

What you should do is put no security on your router, see if that works. If it does, then increase it to WEP and beyond.

Ubuntu is usually very good with finding and using wireless networks.
