690895 2008-07-21 11:32:00 I would like to know in detail how to embed the VideoLan Media Player in my web page so that I can play an MPG video. I would like the VideoLan to be displayed with the complete set of controls.
My computer is a P3 with 500Mb ram running W2000 Professional. The web development programm Dream Weaver 3.

Can anyone help please?

You CAN however embed Windows-Media controls etc though.
Just HOW to do it, and etiquette around that, Im not sure of sorry.

<OBJECT ID="MediaPlayer" WIDTH=320 HEIGHT=240
CLASSID="CLSID:22D6F312-B0F6-11D0-94AB-0080C74C7E95"
STANDBY="Loading Windows Media Player components..."
TYPE="application/x-oleobject">

<PARAM NAME="FileName" VALUE="www.YOURSITE.com
<EMBED TYPE="application/x-mplayer2"
SRC="www.YOURSITE.com
NAME="MediaPlayer"
WIDTH=320
HEIGHT=240>
</EMBED>
</OBJECT>

Place that snippet in the code of your page where you want the player to appear.

Substitute both instances of :

www.YOURSITE.com

with the full path of your mpg movie (or avi etc)

and change both instances of the values :

WIDTH=320 HEIGHT=240

to suit the size you want
