| 690797 | 2008-07-21 09:38:00 | I have a number of folders set to be accessable across my local network. Some are visible & some aren't. Ie. when I open 'My Network Places' within Windows Explorer, I only get a certain number of folders set for network access. To get to the others, I have to change the 'folders' button to change to 'My Computer' mode & click on 'View Workgroup Computers' in 'Network Tasks'. Then, on the host PC the network folder lies in. This is with MCE2005 OS with full admin rights. Why is this happening? And what can I do to rectify the issue? Thanks. |

On top of that, go to Start > Run > type in "cmd" (without the quotations) and press "Enter". Type in the command "net view" and see if the folders are visible. Cheers :) The results were as below: server name remark \\*host Pc name* main desktop The command completed successfully. So, no the folders are not visible, even the ones that are visible through 'My Network Places'. What else could I try? Cheers. |
