690661 2008-07-21 01:19:00 Hi guys I was looking to buy some games off ebgames.com noticing that they were much cheaper. Does USA games have any compatibility issues with my NZ computer? Will they be resalable? andrewb3363 (13307)
690662 2008-07-21 01:40:00 Fallout 3 for instance with US$29.99 shipping comes to $105.06
Its $130 NZ at Gameplanet.
Not much of a saving.

$71.56 from PlayAsia.

And yes US is fine, when buying from overseas, just make sure it says English Language version.

690663 2008-07-21 01:41:00 There shouldn't be any issues. How much cheaper? I would have though the shipping would have made it not worth it go buy overseas... utopian201 (6245)
690664 2008-07-21 01:42:00 No issues
Most of the games we get are American Version anyway.

Remember thou if customs get the packages they will charge you the 12.5% GST and perhaps Import Duty as well.
Often its not cheaper, just FYI

690665 2008-07-21 03:40:00 But there wont be any "region" compatibility issues as there are with DVD's. beeswax34 (63)
690666 2008-07-21 06:43:00 no. Even if you did get a movie from overseas, your dvd drive might be configured for region 0, which is all regions.

I've imported games and hardware from overseas, I didn't get any import duties or gst. I can't remember what the limit is though.
