435458 2006-03-04 20:44:00 Radio Hauraki has started playing Creed & Nikelback. So much for "Classic Rock that Rocks" Greven (91)
435459 2006-03-04 21:35:00 Why bother with crummy NZ radio when you can listen on-line 24/7 to the likes of Radio Dismuke?

435460 2006-03-04 22:30:00 I've also heard them playing The Darkness which is probably a bit too new to be 'classic', and even then I doubt I would classify it as a classic to start with.

In saying that, despite a few dubious tracks, their proportion of decent music is a lot better than other stations. The fact that they play the entire 8 or so minutes of shine on your crazy diamond is evidence of this. Other stations *cough* the rock, would probably have an ad break just before the lyrics crank.

I know they used to play all the latest songs in my parent's time, but they have always been "classic rock that rocks" for me & untill now, the only new songs they played were by classic bands.

The classics is great. I've been intending to set up my computer to automatically record it to mp3 every week, but I never got round to it.

435463 2006-03-05 01:31:00 I've noticed that the Concert FM (the only decent radio station) has been playing a lot of "contemporary" rubbish. It's time they went back to a solid diet of Academy of St Martin in the Fields. :D Graham L (2)
435464 2006-03-05 03:43:00 With Sir Neville Marriner conducting of course :) Terry Porritt (14)

Old Nev is good all right.
Never met anybody who like either contemporary music or art.
