690767 2008-07-21 05:09:00 Reboot again?

Make sure no IP settings are manually configured, if it still isn't working, run this (www.softpedia.com).

690768 2008-07-21 05:12:00 The Properties card for that puter is totally different from the one that I am using right now...

All the broken unit has for properties is:

Client For Microsoft Networks (unchecked)
File & Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks (checked)
QoS Packet Scheduler (checked)
Internet Protocol [TCP/IP] (checked)

What now?

That should be ticked. Or checked, rather. :p Did you just untick, ah uncheck it to fix that problem with the welcome screen?

Yeah...I did and the Welcome screen returned after a reboot...so if I re-check it and reboot..do I go back to the Classic start-up agasin?

Try it and see. There should have been an entry there for netware, as well as "Client for M$ Networks".
