Initially yes, But the comedown is pretty severe.

The bigger the high, the deeper the low.

Then you chop somebodies hands off and then claim your crazy.

I started listening to Hauraki when The Rock reached rock bottom. Well perhaps not quite rock bottom - it doesn't play rap, but they just don't play as much good music as Hauraki.

I think it was around the time The Rock were obsessed with Saint Anger that I started listening to Hauraki.

435474 2006-03-05 20:51:00 Well they hardly every play St anger now which is good because that album was metallica's worst album IMHO. Hauraki is my second choice though when it comes to radio stations  Overdrive_5000 (4950)
435475 2006-03-05 21:36:00 Thank goodness you are only talking about Radio hauraki .

I thought for a moment it was the National Program . . . . . whew!I second you there netchicken . .

Fantastic news and current affairs . . as far as I am concerned broadcast raidio is all shades of awful for music .

435476 2006-03-05 23:13:00 Anybody listen to 98.2? It can be quite entertaining. (I think it used to be the old Radio I channel)

It has much the same music genres as More FM, but with less advertising and more intelligent commentry.

435477 2006-03-05 23:41:00 Radio Hauraki has started playing Creed & Nikelback. So much for "Classic Rock that Rocks"

Also been playing Puddle of Mud's only song that ever made it onto the "other" radio stations quite a lot. Don't know why though, it was never any good.

The thing I don't like about Hauraki is that, while they do play "classic rock", they always seem to play the same songs by the same artists. For instance I think the only Black Sabbath song I've heard them play is Paranoid.
Bands like U2, Pink Floyd, Led Zed etc they only seem to have about half a dozen of their songs each.
