| 691329 | 2008-07-23 23:42:00 | Ok this may sound completely daft 1) And may not help but have you tried using absolute links for the next pages or making them go from the server root, eg instead of <a href="start.php"> <img border="0" alt="Next Step" src="images/next_step.jpg"/> </a> try <a href="/start.php"> <img border="0" alt="Next Step" src="images/next_step.jpg"/> </a> or <a href="www.riskybusiness.co.nz <img border="0" alt="Next Step" src="images/next_step.jpg"/> </a> I know they probably seem illogical, but it's worth trying if you are really desperate The other thing is that because php is server side processed can you get someone to send you the source code of the "Blank page" displayed in IE6 before the refresh is pressed, yes i know this sounds dafter than the previous suggestion but i have had blank page happen because of an unclosed comment, but it was only happening on one browser (Ie5 or 6, IE7 didin't exist back then), Why don't you install IE6?, I vaguely remember installing it through wine a few years back, performance wasn't stellar but it didn't take up much space and you are a Linux Guru (well compared to us mere mortals) |

| 691330 | 2008-07-24 23:03:00 | Tried changing it so its an absolute link instead of a relative reference, still does the same thing :( The only thing that the page has in it thats PHP is: <?php include 'header.php'; ?> Unfortunately when it comes up blank (Im on a machine now with the fault), you right-click in IE and go "View Source" and nothing happens, it just sits there :( Ive checked the source code, no unclosed comments or anything, and it *does* display after you hit the F5... you can see the source code there too, I dont think theres anything wrong with it. Certainly nothing changing between page refreshes at least :D I could install IE6 through WINE etc on my EeePC, but its easier to just jump on the family PC and things, or sit down at a PC where I *know* its already having the issue than mess around with WINE configs and what-not ;) Plus, HDD space is limited and Ive avoided WINE thus far :p The joys of a UMPC :-/ |
