437682 2006-03-13 02:15:00 ok i'm an opera fan :) can't wait til the opera9 final comes out.

as far as add blocking goes....what the hostfile dosn't block the opera filter blocks. only trouble is no GUI for it, tho i think there is a 3rd party app for it.

437683 2006-03-13 07:18:00 I use Opera most of the time. FF I use for Gmail and Google accounts, and for the web dev extension. vinref (6194)

437686 2006-03-14 08:33:00 I use Firefox, but for the opposite reasons Foxy says. I only need about 3 things when web browsing (tabs, adblock and download manager), anything else is bloat, so I like how Firefox is the "bare minimum", but it's easy to addnew features that you want :D Edward (31)
437687 2006-03-14 09:23:00 You mentioning the download manager reminded me that I don't really like the basic firefox download manager. Does anyone know of a stable extention that will provide a better download manager? Greven (91)
437688 2006-03-14 20:40:00 I've been using Opera for a couple of years now and look forward to 9.0.
I have FireFox,but for me,it's no match for Opera.

Go to whatever site, click on the right mouse / select block content.

Whatever can be blocked will show up. Then click on it to block it. It'll say blocked image. Then click on Done to remove it.

Use the block content option instead (in Opera 9). Go to a site / right mouse / block content. Click on ad / click on Done.
